CLAY AKIEN
Clay Aiken was born on 30th November 1978 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He came into lime might when he stood as the runner up in the T.V. talent show American Idol in the year 2003. He was a hit among the female viewers who voted for him to a large extent.
Childhood days:
When Aiken was at his infancy his parents divorced and he took up his mother’s maiden name as his legal last name. As a young boy he used to sing in the Raleigh Boy choir, and in school, church choirs. He was the lead singer in the local band Just by Chance. Unlike other children Aiken showed confidence right from the early age and was ready to impress the crowd. Other than singing he is also interested in ice hockey.
Education:
He did his schooling in Leesville high school and his graduation in University of North Carolina at Charlotte. It is there that he found his interest in special Education. While he was still in his college he took up the job of a tutor to a boy in Autism. It was his mother mother Diane Bubel who encouraged him to participate in American Idol. As his studies were hampered due to the participation he finished his studies in the year 2003.
American Idol:
Inspired by Diane Bubel’s insistence Aiken agreed to participate in the American Idol. Three demo audios were recorded in Aiken’s voice before the participation in American Idol and were gifted to him by his mother as his birthday gift. He rocked entire America with his innocent look and went on to become the runner up in the talent show.
Albums:
The first album released by him was Measure of a Man in Oct 2003which was a hit and he was suddenly a pop singer. Some of the other albums released by him are Christmas songs, A Thousand Different Ways, Merry Christmas with Love, on my way home, This Is the Night
A proud Father:
Aiken married to Jaymes Foster and soon a boy was born to them on August 8 in the year 2008.Aiken was very proud to become a father and showed his expression in his blog. He wrote that the young man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy. And his mother was hail and healthy. As was the tradition of the southerners they named their son with the maiden name of her mother.
